"I don't want to get bulky"
We hear this a lot!!!
Some women fear that if they lift weights, they are going to look “bulky”.
Weight training DOES NOT make you look “bulky". Having a high body fat percentage might!
For most women it isn’t that easy to build muscle! Building muscle requires a lot of time and consistency with training.
What more lean muscle mass means though, is more calories burnt! This helps reduce fat on the body, even while you’re sleeping!!! When body fat levels decrease, muscles start to show, giving that “lean” and “toned” look.
Weight training and eating in a calorie deficit (this means eating less then what your body is burning each day) correctly can do both and is the most effective way.
